Good looking Dean is the younger son of the troubled McKenzie family. He’s not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but has a good heart and a strong sense of loyalty. His dad’s doing time in the nick and his mum is a part-time prostitute, trying to keep the wolf from the door.
Dean is fiercely protective of his ‘missing’ elder brother Billy, who many believe killed little Katie. But Dean knows in his heart that Billy is innocent and therefore finds himself outcast in the community, scraping a living from the part-time work Sadie had given him at the hotel.
The Harries family in particular can’t stomach McKenzie scum and make his life a living hell. None of this deters Shoo - he’s gorgeous - 'nuff said. Dean's never met a girl like her before and before he knows it, he's in love.
